Our Programs : Youth & Family Services : Family Support
This program is an intensive in-home program that is designed to assist and support families with children while empowering the family to make positive long term changes in their lives. The in-home Family Support Program is designed to meet the needs identified by the family as well as the issues identified by the referring agency and other community agencies the family may be involved with.

In the Family Support Program, the family is not viewed as a recipient of the services but rather an active participant in the planning and implementation of the family specific goals and services to be provided. The in-home worker for FSA provides up to three hours per week of in-home visits to assist families identified as at-risk and promotes a safe, nurturing environment for children. In other words, an environment for a child that is free of substance abuse, domestic violence and child abuse.

This program benefits families by provides services such as court approved parenting and anger management classes, boundary setting, building self-esteem, home management, and general support. By providing education and support to families, we can assist parents through the substance abuse recovery process, learning appropriate coping mechanisms, and learning appropriate responses to their child’s behavior therefore increasing the chances that a child will be raised in a safer more nurturing environment.
