Are you a parent with a mental illness that struggles with parenting?

Does someone in your family need help interacting with peers due to mental illness or emotional disturbance?

Has your child been diagnosed with a mental illness or serious emotional disturbance?

Psychosocial Rehabilitation may be appropriate if:
  • Your child
    • Acts aggressively towards peers or siblings, or
    • Tends to be withdrawn from others, or
    • Has poor school achievement stemming from a possible psychological disorder.
  • You
    • Are diagnosed with a mental illness, and
    • Are overwhelmed by life’s daily challenges, or
    • Are uncomfortable in social situations, or
    • Find it difficult to develop a routine.

What is Lifeskills?

Lifeskills is a psychosocial rehabilitation program for mentally ill adults or children.

Licensed social workers who visit the home in collaboration with the regional mental health aughroity and other therapists provide education, assessment and services. Providers reach these changes by creating realistic goals andhelping families meet these goals. Clients will also have 24-hour assistance.

Lifeskills providers work with the family as a whole withing the comfort of your home. We recognize that a mental illness in one family member affects all members of the family.

Who qualifies for Lifeskills?

Adults or children with a diagnosed mental illness or serious emotional disturbance.
Families with children under the age of eighteen years old.

Families who want to make positive changes in behavior, social interaction, and personal interaction.

Payment options vary based upon your eligibility criteria—please ask.
